Started flying at the age of 13. First solo at 16 and PPL at 17. I went to an aviation college and have a B.S. in Aviation Management. Started flight instructing after college and soon started flying charter. First corporate job was in a Navajo flying cargo and the owner. I have been laid off twice. I hold type ratings in the following aircraft: CE500, LRJET, CL600, CL604, G4, BBD700.
I have done everything from pumping gas to mowing grass and fixing airplanes to pay for my ratings. It's been a great experience. I have traveled around the world to places the airlines don’t go.

Favorite thing about flying:
All of it.
Disadvatages of being a pilot:
It is very difficult to break into corp. It is just as hard to get an airline job but corporate is mostly word of mouth. Also you have to get along with your crew. In the airlines you may never fly with the same person twice. In corporate you may spend a month on the road with the same crew.

What you would have done different:
I would have joined the Air force after college so I would be in a better position to get into the airlines.
Advice to aspiring pilots:
Don’t give up.
Problems encounterd along the way:
Chose the right college. Don’t get married right away.
