Mentor profile:
My name is Joseph Crudo, I'm a 25 year old pilot from CA. I started my flight training during my Junior year in high school at a local FBO. After that I went to Sierra Academy of Aeronautics. I've done all my training in and around Class B airspace. I love a busy enviroment, and live for the complexity of flying IFR in busy areas. I've also done the CRJ program at Regional Airline Academy, and have obtained a CL-65 type rating.

Favorite thing about flying:
I can't name just one favorite thing about flying. I love everything from the freedom, to the view, to the feeling of accelerating down the runway and that rush of adrenaline I feel just before rotating... doesn't matter if it's a 152 or a CRJ.
Disadvatages of being a pilot:
Having to retire at age 60 from the airlines.

What you would have done different:
I would have avoided the Academy route, and stuck with an FBO for my training. I also would have instructed for a while longer.
Advice to aspiring pilots:
Dedicate yourself 110% to this. Study hard. And try to fly every flight to perfection. If you plan on being a professional aviator, you have to hold yourself to professional standards- even if you're just working on your private.
Problems encounterd along the way:
None at all.
