Mentor profile:
I am originally from Des Moines, Iowa. I started my flight training after receiving a BA in sociology and biology from Drake University, and then a short stint at Enroute Air Traffic Control School. I received my Private Pilot\'s training and Instrument training from Exec 1 Aviation in Des Moines. I received my Commercial training from GATTS in Manhattan, KS. I received my CFI/CFII/AGI training from Aviation Training Unlimited in Kansas City. It has all been a great experience and I continue to learn many more things from students on a daily basis.

Favorite thing about flying:
The freedom and the ability to tell people about the beautiful view from my office in the sky
Disadvatages of being a pilot:
There are not many disadvantages to Flight Instructing. You are home every night, you meet great people, and you have the ability to change the industry as a whole.

What you would have done different:
I would not have changed any choices I made while becoming a pilot.
Advice to aspiring pilots:
Set a goal and set a plan to achieve that goal. When you have that, stick to the plan through thick and through thin and you will achieve that goal and more.
Problems encounterd along the way:
Stick to your plan of action.
